Ich habe mir "local" Infos von meiner kanadischen Kollegin aus Montreal eingeholt, vielleicht ist etwas für einen von Euch dabei (ich hoffe, es ist auch auf englisch verständlich, übersetzen wollte ich es nicht

Odysseo from Cavalia. It is beautiful!

Close to the downtown area, you have the Chinatown, old Montreal.
Close to the Olympic Stadium, there is the botanical garden.
You can also go on Mount Royal and have a view of Montreal city. There is also a lake at the summit! Mount Royal is a very small mount (more a mound) , just beside downtown.
In the downtown area, I suggest you go on Ste-Catherine Street for shopping, Crescent and De La Montagne for their restaurants and night life, Sherbrooke street (because it is pretty) and Mc Gill College which bring you to the McGill University campus which is beautiful and a nice place to do a pic nic downtown Mtl.
You can also visit the public markets. There is the Atwater market and the Jean-Talon Market.
In Montreal, we have many churches, the most spectacular one is the Oratoire St-Joseph.

In Montreal, you can buy bus ticket and metro ticket in all metro stations and mostly all pharmacy (Pharmaprix, Jean Coutu etc).
Viele Grüße
